Quick 2 Ingredient Bagels

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups self raising flour
  • 1 cup greek yoghurt
  • 1 egg whisked to make ‘egg wash’
  • Bagel seasoning* or topping of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine your flour and Greek yogurt and mix well, until fully combined.
  • Lightly flour a kitchen surface or chopping board. Gently kneed the dough, flattening it out into a circular shape. Slice into 4 even pieces.
  • Roll each piece into a ball and use your finger to make a hole in the centre.
  • Bring a large pot of water to the boil and drop the bagels one at a time, making sure they have enough room to float around. Cook the bagels for 1 minute on each side. Transfer to a rack and allow to dry.
  • Once dry, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with seasoning or toppings.
  • Place onto the lined tray and bake for 20 minutes, rotating the tray halfway through. Remove from the oven and allow bagels to cool.
  • Slice, toast, top, whatever you want!
