Welcome
We are so happy to have you signed up and cannot wait for you to get underway! This course is the result of over 30 years of working in rugby and we are extremely excited to share all of that experience with you. Our team have helped players of all ages, from grass roots footy through to All Blacks and Black Ferns, understand how to fuel their bodies to get the most out of their training and life.
Over the decades we have fine tuned our approach, figuring out what works and more importantly what doesn’t. This course is designed to equip you with the nutrition knowledge and skills you need to help you smash your preseason performance goals and get you ready for the physicality of the season ahead.
Over this course we will cover the following topics:
- Building a solid nutrition foundation
- Fueling for performance – what and when to eat (and drink) before and during training
- Nutrition for recovery
- Hydration
- Optimising body composition for performance
- Supplements
The idea is that you complete one topic each week. Six topics over six weeks. But, the beauty of a self paced online courses is that you can move at your own pace so please do what works for you. Each topic should only take you around 15-20 minutes. Plus there is a quiz at the end of each one which will help you identify your strengths and where you may need a little more work.
Now, before you get going if nutrition is a completely new concept to you we recommend completing our Nutrition Fundamentals for Athletes course first as this course assumes you have an understanding of basic nutrition concepts.
