Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic finely diced
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 400 g crushed and sieved tomtoes
- 1/2 tbsp dried oregno
- 1/2 tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt and pepper to season
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a medium fry-pan over a medium heat.
- Sauté onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until soft.
- Add tomato paste, canned tomatoes, herbs and sugar.
- Simmer and stir uncovered for 10 minutes until sauce is thick.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Make in advance and freeze for one less step when next making homemade pizza.
